With ULTIMA ARBOR, Swiss Shield® once again proves extremely impressively that they are definitively a global leader in ecological-technical textiles. ULTIMA ARBOR can undoubtedly be described as a technological (R)Evolution in maximally ecological and sustainable production. The traditional raw materials of cotton or polyester were promptly replaced with viscose, more precisely with LENZING ECOVERO fibres, which have even been awarded the EU Ecolabel.

Thus, the viscose fibres themselves also come from the renewable raw material wood. The wood used comes from certified and controlled forestry. In this ecologically responsible and environmentally conscious manufacturing process, emissions and water pollution are reduced by 50 percent compared to the production of generic viscose. By choosing this viscose fibre, the ULTIMA ARBOR shielding fabric contributes to a sustainable lifestyle and clean environment. Of course, in addition to this ecological responsibility, the high shielding against electromagnetic radiation from mobile phones, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc., is not forgotten.

EU Ecolabel

The visually appealing ULTIMA ARBOR shielding fabric is excellently suited for curtains and room dividers. Due to the woven-in, radio wave-reflecting silver threads being insulated for protection, there is no oxidation with oxygen, and thus no discoloration of the ULTIMA ARBOR shielding fabric over time. Therefore, the curtain or room divider made with ULTIMA ARBOR remains unchanged in its attractive, natural ECRU-WHITE colour tone for years.

The ULTIMA ARBOR™ shielding fabric is the luxury version of the NATURELL™ shielding fabric by Swiss-Shield®. This fabric is a semi-transparent viscose material designed to shield against high-frequency electromagnetic fields (HF) from transmission towers and private devices such as mobile phones, smartphones, Wi-Fi routers, mobile LTE internet, etc. However, it should be noted that this shielding fabric cannot be grounded. ULTIMA ARBOR™ is electrically non-conductive, so its shielding capability is limited to the reflection of incoming radio waves.

ULTIMA ARBOR™ shielding fabric is made from LENZING ECOVERO viscose fibres. This patented high-tech yarn is made of 82 % viscose, 17 % copper, 1 % silver, achieving high shielding attenuation values of up to 42 dB.

This product contains electrically conductive components inside, which, however, are not accessible and cannot be grounded. Therefore, individual areas do not shield against low-frequency electric alternating fields (NF). However, if this product is used to create a Faraday cage (complete shielding with six sides), no low-frequency electric alternating fields (NF) can be detected inside with a potential-free measurement.

This shielding fabric ULTIMA ARBOR CANNOT BE WASHED IN THE WASHING MACHINE because it is not equipped with slide resistance. However, dry cleaning is possible, even if, in our view, this does not conform to the ecological concept of viscose.

Please note that cancellations do not apply to these products, because they were cut to the customer’s specifications. Reselling a tailored item is no longer possible. For this reason, it is possible to request a free sample of the shielding fabric. By ordering pre-finished products, waiving the statutory right to return goods is accepted.

We only sell the highest-quality fabrics! Because of the high production costs and a favorable price, small flaws are not grounds for complaint.
