Compact splicing connectors from WAGO have completely convinced us. Due to their easy handling and compact design, they are simply ideal for use within our shielded installation boxes and for connecting our shielded lamps for fixed installation.

WAGO compact 221 series splicing connector, model 221-415, for 5 conductors. Suitable for connecting the drain wire of the shielded electrical cable to the shielded flush-mounted box or cavity wall box. Due to the five entrances, however, the entire electrical installation is the main focus here.
The shielded flush-mounted box or cavity wall box contains a potential connection line. This line must be connected to the two-wire of the shielded electric cable or sheathed cable and this splicing connector (as well as the 2-conductor variant) can be used for this purpose. A simple, fast and effective solution.
Basically, the 221 model series of WAGO compact splicing connector can be optimally used for all electrical wiring. Strictly speaking, the classic connector block with screw fixing has now had its day. The level of technological development is now too great and enormous: Open lever, insert conductor, close lever – done! Fiddly handling with a screwdriver is history. Thanks to this simplicity, WAGO compact splicing connectors are ideal and predestined for all cable connections within the house wiring and also for connecting our shielded ceilings and wall lights.

Easy handling: lever open, conductor in, lever closed
The connector can be used for up to 5 (depending on the model) stripped, fine-stranded conductors 0.14 … 4 mm², solid or stranded 0.2 … 4 mm² – and without tools!
That’s how it’s done:
Use an orange operating lever to open the clamping point until the lever is vertical. Now the conductor can be inserted and then the lever can be turned to the rest position, flush with the connector housing.
Security:
Due to the recessed actuating levers, accidental faulty actuation when inserting in tight installation conditions is excluded. The additional application safety for all types of conductors (solid, stranded and fine-stranded) is confirmed by approvals (ENEC, UL).
