This shielded electrical cable with switch and free end provides even more healthy freedom when working with electrical devices. Even if the end device such as TV, stereo or SAT receiver meets modern standards such as TCO, the electrical cable used usually remains the “weak point” in electrosmog caused by low-frequency alternating fields. With this shielded cable, the electrician can change this situation quickly and effectively – simply by replacing the cable.

After the exchange, the electric alternating field LF of the electric cable is reduced to a maximum and sometimes no longer detectable by measurement. In addition, this shielded cable with a free end also reduces the magnetic field. This is achieved by twisting the wires 15 times per metre.

The special feature of this shielded cable is the shielded intermediate cord switch, i.e. the shielded on/off switch directly integrated in the cable. Since this electrical cable has a free end, practically any existing cable of a commercially available consumer can be replaced with it. The integrated switch does even more than just be convenient for operation. Every electrical appliance, with the exception of the washing machine, needs a transformer to convert alternating current back to direct current. This transformer must be installed in the appliance as well as visibly in front of it as part of the electric cable.

If a consumer such as a floor lamp is permanently connected to the socket, a strong magnetic field may be produced in addition to the electric field. This depends on where the disconnector – i.e. the on/off switch – is mounted. If this switch is between the plug and the transformer, the magnetic field is non-existent, but if the on/off switch is between the transformer and the consumer, the magnetic field is permanent (because the transformer is permanently supplied with power). This shielded electric cable with on/off switch solves both issues directly by replacing the electric cable leading directly to the transformer – electric field (V/m) and magnetic field (nT).
