The RDF72 shielding window film contains 12 metal layers and thus provides a shielding effectiveness of up to 33 dB, even up to 40 GHz. Effective against 5G and yet we recommend and prefer shielding fabrics as curtains.

This self-adhesive RDF72 special film contains 12 precious metal coats and is suited for protecting from high-frequency electromagnetic radiation caused by mobile radiation from transmitters, mobile phones, smartphones, WIFI, etc. It is typically stuck on the inside of windows without glazing.

Despite the screening attenuation of up to 33 dB, we only recommend using it sparingly because when using the shielding window film, the window frame remains unprotected because the attenuation is weak. Generally, shielding curtains should always be preferred. However, there are uses that make shielding window films useful, such as on windows and doors inside buildings.

The RDF72 shielding film’s light transmission is 72 %. RDF72 is a shielding film with 12 metal layers for the highest standards of quality. The screening attenuation achieved is unparalleled for a film with such high light transmission!

Only use indoors on glass surfaces WITHOUT GLAZING!

Thermal glazing is already metalized. If solar radiation permeates the metallization and then hits the shielding window film, multi-reflection may occur. The window frame heats up needlessly and can thus cause leaks or even cracks by expansion of the frame! Always find out the glass type!

Processing of Shielding Window Film Against RF Electromagnetic Smog

It is mandatory to use the FVR10 Scraper, the FMK30 Mounting Concentrate, and the FL4 Edge Sealant for the installation.
Applying the shielding film without air bubbles is not necessarily easy and it is advisable to do this with two people. First, use a cleaning concentrate and a glass scraper to remove all unevenness and dirt from the glass. Then thoroughly clean the glass with window cleaner.

Remove the protective film from the shielding film. Dilute the mounting concentrate FMK30 with 0,5 liters of distilled water and spray both the window surface and the adhesive side of the shielding film. Apply the window film onto the window glass and use the FVR10 scraper to work from the center outwards, pressing out the air bubbles. CAUTION: To allow excess water to evaporate, apply the edge sealant only 8 weeks after the installation of the window film!
