Our shielding fleece SAFEBUILD® A190 is a mechanically highly stable cellulose fleece, laminated on one side with thick, micro-needled aluminum foil, specifically designed for maximum protection against electromagnetic fields. With 200.000 tiny perforations per square meter, this shielding fleece is highly breathable and highly permeable to water vapour while achieving an exceptionally high shielding attenuation of 112 dB. This unique micro-needling process was a core focus in the development of this innovative shielding technology and does not impact its shielding performance, meaning the electromagnetic shielding remains fully effective.
The SAFEBUILD® A190 shielding fleece is not only highly effective against high-frequency electromagnetic fields (HF) but is also well-suited for shielding low-frequency alternating electric fields (LF) (grounding).
This high-performance shielding fleece provides an effective solution for people living in rental properties. Often, permanent shielding solutions are not allowed in rented spaces due to the high cost and complexity of removal upon moving out, leaving bed canopies as the primary option. While our canopies are a remarkable achievement in building biology, their protective effect is limited to the bed area. This shielding fleece overcomes this limitation, extending shielding options to the entire room. Upon moving out, the shielding wallpaper can simply be removed from walls and ceilings, with minimal surface treatment needed to restore the original state.

Grounding the SAFEBUILD® A190 Shielding Fleece
This product, with its electrically conductive surface, must be grounded by integrating it into the functional equipotential bonding (FEB). See the Grounding product category for suitable components. For this product, the aluminum side must be grounded, meaning our GSX grounding tape should be affixed to the silver side!
Shielding Fleece SAFEBUILD® A190 | Under Testing by TÜV-SÜD
This shielding fleece is currently being tested by TÜV-SÜD. It is being tested for heavy metals, SVOCs and emissions in accordance with test specification TM-22 (issue 08-2020). Due to the absence of pollutants and emissions of all preliminary products, this test is passed with certainty.

Verarbeitung Abschirmvlies SAFEBUILD® A190
Substrate: Absorbent and chalky substrates must be pre-treated with our primer GK5.
Bonding the aluminum side towards the room: Technically the best solution. All strips can be easily connected afterwards with the GSX earthing tape. Also the best solution with wallpaper replacement primer so that the fleece can be removed again if necessary.
Bonding the white side towards the room: Visually the nicer solution that is also easy to rework.
Adhesive: Adhesive for heavy wallpaper on the fleece side. Cellulose adhesive does not adhere to the aluminum side, we recommend our PSA adhesive, which creates a self-adhesive surface. Our aluminum products adhere very well when installed wet and dry.
Butt-jointed or overlapping: The sheets should be glued overlapping to achieve the best shielding result. Glue the overlap with our PSA adhesive. Finally, smooth and sand with a fine spatula. Alternatively, bond as usual, but this will result in minimal losses when shielding very high frequencies.
Contact materials: Due to the aluminum layer, a neutral pH value of pH 4-9 must be ensured for all direct contact materials during processing.
Order quantity, revocation of the order and small quantity surcharge
If the netting has been cut in pieces of 1.0 running meter as requested by the customer, it is not possible to cancel or revoke the order. For this reason, it is possible to request a free sample of the shielding underlay membrane. By ordering pre-finished products, waiving the statutory right to return goods is accepted.
Small quantity surcharges for small quantities up to 3 running meters have been removed for reasons of transparency and fairness. The individual linear meter therefore always has the same price or price advantage for larger quantities. To refinance expenses and packaging, we charge a flat rate of € 6,90 per cut.
